Stewardship
Shiloh’s Stewardship ministries call each member to honor God by faithfully managing the resources entrusted to them. Through financial education, giving campaigns, and the careful oversight of church funds and assets, Stewardship encourages generosity as acts of worship.

Bereavement Ministry
The Shiloh Baptist Church Bereavement Ministry supports church members during the loss of loved ones. The Bereavement Ministry prays with the family, sends cards, and helps coordinate funeral arrangements. The ministry also encourages members to preplan their homegoing arrangements, and provides workshops on end-of-life issues and available community services.
Building & Expansion Ministry
The Building & Expansion Ministry is dedicated to overseeing all aspects of the church’s construction, renovation, and facility improvement projects. This ministry works closely with church leadership and members to assess current and future space needs, plan and coordinate expansion efforts, and ensure projects are completed efficiently and within budget. Volunteers help manage fundraising initiatives, communicate progress updates, and collaborate with architects, contractors, and local officials to create safe, accessible, and welcoming spaces for worship, fellowship, and community outreach.
Bus Ministry
The Bus Ministry provides transportation for church members and guests who may need assistance attending worship services, church events, and special programs. Volunteers coordinate vehicle maintenance, pickup and drop-off schedules, ensuring safe, reliable, and friendly service for all riders. This ministry helps remove transportation barriers, making it possible for everyone to participate in church life.
Finance Ministry
The Finance Ministry develops the church’s annual budget and reviews quarterly spending to ensure spending remains within range approved by congregation. Additionally, it reports/recommends to the diaconate changes based on income. And follows approved guidelines by CPA for church spending and handling of church funds.
Kitchen Ministry
The Kitchen Ministry is dedicated to supporting church events and gatherings by preparing, serving, and coordinating meals and refreshments in the fellowship hall. This ministry ensures the kitchen and fellowship hall are clean, organized, and ready for use during special occasions such as church dinners, receptions, and community outreach programs. The Kitchen Ministry works in partnership with other ministries to facilitate hospitality, maintain food safety standards, and create a welcoming atmosphere for members and guests. SBC Legacy Ministry
This ministry is designed to encourage members and friends to financially contribute and help grow the established endowment through Hampton Roads Community Foundation. The "Legacy Wall”, located in the narthex of the church, provides plaques as acknowledgement of loved ones, both living and deceased, by donors to the endowment fund.
Parking Lot Ministry
The Parking Lot Ministry oversees the safety, organization, upgrades and hospitality of the church parking areas during services and events. Volunteers also assist with managing parking during special event such as games and other programs at Norfolk State University by helping direct traffic, assist members and guests in finding accessible parking, and offer a welcoming presence as people arrive. This ministry works to ensure smooth flow and accessibility, supporting a positive experience from the moment visitors enter the church grounds.
Public Relations Ministry
The Public Relations Ministry serves as the church’s liaison to the broader community and media. This ministry is responsible for communicating church news, events, and achievements through local media, press releases, newsletters, and outreach campaigns. Volunteers help promote a positive image of the church, foster relationships with local organizations, and ensure clear and effective messaging to both internal and external audiences.
Social Media Ministry
The Social Media Ministry manages the church’s presence across platforms like Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter. It shares updates, promotes events, and engages the community online, helping members and visitors stay informed and connected. This ministry also works to highlight church activities and encourage digital outreach, making it easier for people to interact and participate virtually.
Technology Ministry
The Technology Ministry is responsible for maintaining and supporting the church’s technological infrastructure, including audio/visual systems, computers, and software. This ministry assists with livestreaming services, manages digital presentations during worship, and ensures smooth operation of equipment for church events. It also provides technical assistance to staff and members, helping the church stay connected and up-to-date with current technology trends.
