Family Life
Ministries
The Family Life ministries are dedicated to strengthening the bonds among members and nurturing healthy relationships within the church and beyond. Through a variety of programs, these ministries foster a sense of belonging, encouragement, and mutual care. By addressing the spiritual, emotional, and practical needs of individuals and families, Family Life creates a supportive environment where all can flourish together, guided by faith and compassion.
Healthcare Ministry
The mission of Shiloh Baptist Healthcare Ministry is to glorify God by reaching out to the Shiloh family and the surrounding communities, preaching about the need to live a healthy lifestyle, and teaching sound health practices/health literacy. The ministry also provides first aid during church services and events.
To join this group of multidisciplinary members, contact Melvena Gregg, Hownetta Haynes, or contact the church office.
Generation One
The Generation One Ministry serves Christ by providing events and activities for the senior of Shiloh and the community. The ministry provides workshops on topics of interest to seniors and organizes “Fun Days”, trips, and local outings. The ministry also connects with sick in shut-in seniors monthly and on their birthdays.
To join this group of active seniors contact Lucretia Singleton or the church office.
Men's Ministry
Through fellowship, service, and spiritual growth, the Men’s Ministry seeks to create opportunities for men to encourage one another, grow deeper in faith and build a stronger brotherhood and community. The Men’s Ministry endeavors to be a source of strength—not only to its members, but to the entire church family and the community beyond.
For more information on the Men’s Ministry, contact Edwin Sloan.
Women’s Ministry
The Women’s Ministry organizes ministry and fellowship opportunities for the women of Shiloh and in the community. The Women’s ministry plans activities, such as Mother’s Day celebrations, fellowship, and service projects. Additionally, the Women’s Ministry co-hosts the Christmas Tea.
If you’re interested in joining the planning committee, contact Sandra Spencer or the church office.
Student Ministry
Guided by faith, the Student Ministry’s mission is to support and equip our youth to grow spiritually, build meaningful relationships, and acknowledge their positive school and community experiences, knowing that God will guide their steps in all they do.
To engage with the Student Ministry, contact Keisha Alexander, Patrice Rountree, or the church office.
Bereavement Ministry
The Shiloh Baptist Church Bereavement Ministry supports church members during the loss of loved ones. The Bereavement Ministry prays with the family, sends cards, and helps coordinate funeral arrangements. The ministry also encourages members to preplan their homegoing arrangements, and provides workshops on end-of-life issues and available community services.
If you’re called to serve on this ministry, please contact the church office.
